jazmin + anthony | a winter central park engagement

jazmin and anthony recently celebrated a decade of love together. they first crossed paths in the seventh grade, but it wasn't until after high school that they became a couple.

jazmin shared with me that they rarely have photos together, and the ones they do have are posed during hiking trips. however, she explained her desire for something more profound, something that would encapsulate their true selves, their unique personalities, and their love for one another. since this was the goal vibe, i was given a heads up that their path to candid photographs might need a bit of guidance (however, i get told this by every couple before every photoshoot and they always end up like professional models!)

she explained that she gravitated toward my work because she felt as though my photos told an emotion and story. she said "i often see engagement shoots like look like a template and could have any couple in them and doesn’t tell/show the audience anything about that couple"

with this in mind, i knew we needed to create a unique experience. an experience that would provide them with a comfortable environment to be their true selves.

therefore, we strolled through central park, danced in the streets, browsed books, and spent the day creating art that immortalized a typical day in their life together.
