dayanna + raffaele | the new york public library, manhattan

the documentation of long-term love is a different type of experience. that long-term love, which i usually categorize as 5+ years together, has a special place in my heart. a special way of expressing itself. a special way of interacting with the camera. the comfort two people find in each other after multiple years is always extraordinarily unique.

in their contact form, dayanna simply said that they have been together and have been best friends for 8 years. that was prevalent in their interactions with each other. dayanna skipped and galavanted around the new york public library with energy that mimicked a first date in a rom-com. there has obviously never been a dull moment between them two.

while i interact with so many successful and joyful couples, i asked myself, how could i not take advantage of the treasure trove of experiences and advice in front of me? therefore, for my long-term lovers, i have started asking what their biggest tip of advice is.

dayanna + raffaele answered with a resounding “stay best friends, have fun, and don’t go to bed angry.”

with a love like theirs, i took notes.
