amber + chris | long island city engagement
amber + chris met at suny oneonta’s first year orientation, exchanged numbers and kept in touch. however, chris soon lost his phone and her number with it until the second day of classes when he found her sitting at a picnic table. they have been together ever since — a perfect example of fate if i’ve ever heard one!
i then met amber as she signed up for a photography class i was teaching at Hive and then again when she so wonderfully attended my styled shoot.
to photograph another photographer is such a compliment but to photograph someone i have met multiple times through my business is such a blessing.
with their engagement shoot, they wanted it to feel intimate, loving and fun, so we galavanted around a long island city pier in the freezing cold. cold temperatures are one thing, but freezing cold brutal winds are another type of torture. they were troopers. we popped champagne, ran past the skyline at sunset and admired the empire state building. we finished off the session by warming up and getting out of the wind at piatto.
i was lucky enough to photograph them in their natural state — loving hard and lots of giggles.
